About
In this module, we bridge theory and execution by building out the technical frameworks you’ll use to teach, cue, and correct movement across the Big Three (Squat, Bench, Deadlift), key Strongman events, and Olympic lifts. You’ll learn what actually defines "good technique" - not just in a textbook sense, but in a way that makes sense under load, in competition, and in different athlete contexts. That means learning how to assess leverages, build from the strongest positions, and cue intent - not perfection. We’ll contrast the traditional powerlifting standards with the demands of Strongman and Olympic lifting, looking at how principles stay the same even when execution changes. You’ll see how to build technical proficiency through dynamic effort, max effort, and repetition work - and how to tailor that process to lifters of all sizes, shapes, and specialities. You’ll also gain coaching tools to assess lifters in real-time: identifying red flags, distinguishing between weak technique vs. weak muscle groups, and understanding when to cue, when to rotate, and when to let the lifter solve the problem themselves. The module includes detailed breakdowns of: Squat, Bench, and Deadlift technique by joint action and position Atlas Stone loading, Log Press, Sandbag shouldering, and Yoke carries Snatch and Clean & Jerk (plus regressions for non-Olympic lifters) Transferable technical principles between events Strongman movement coaching where there is no “textbook” model This is where strength coaching becomes an artform - and where great coaches get built.
