Powerlifter & Nutrition

Robbie has been involved in powerlifting since 2019, to build confidence and to apply the knowledge learnt in within his BSC in food science and nutrition then MSC in nutrition focusing on clinical nutrition and dietetics. This desire to support lifters and athletes has grew into a long-term focus after doing my Master's dissertation around muscularity and body image issues in powerlifters. Whilst my passion is in powerlifting, I am open to coaching athletes of any sport. Robbie’s passion is around supporting clients to optimise their nutrition and lifestyle to optimise their performance, recovery & physique. Robbie recognises that everyone is unique and has different goals, preferences and nutritional requirements and I provided 1-1 nutrition coaching which accounts for this and your unique situation. Where a plan would be developed which meets you where you are and helps you develop your knowledge, skills and problem solving skills so you can better understand you. Alongside helping you navigate the minefield which is performance nutrition. Robbie's coaching style is practical, patient, empathetic, and detail-oriented. He focuses on building systems where you can adequately build the skills and knowledge require for long term progress. His aim is to provide athletes with a simple plan unique to you to support you to perform, feel and look better, enabling you to match the demands of your sport.

 

Qualifications

MSC in nutrition, BSC Food science and nutrition from Teesside University Continued professional development in behaviour change models, sports nutrition, and impact of neurodiversity on eating. Volunteering with mental health charities 2021- current '

My coaching is open to anyone, of any calibre or sport and any goal from weight gain/loss/maintenance, and performance optimisation. I am passionate about being able to support you and its an absolute pleasure to do so. Robbie loves working with athletes who are passionate, collaborative, and eager to learn. His coaching is clear, direct, realistic, grounded in practical experience and is evidence based so as a client you receive a plan which is holistic – supporting you in and out of the gym. Robbie is open to talking about this further.
