A Competition Built for New Strongmen and Strongwomen
Everyone remembers their first competition.
The nerves. The uncertainty. Wondering whether you're strong enough to enter.
MACSimum Effort has been created to remove as many of those barriers as possible.
This is a professionally organised novice-only strongman competition, designed to give newer athletes the opportunity to experience competitive strongman in a welcoming and supportive environment while raising money for an incredible cause.
Whether you've never competed before or you're looking to gain a little more competition experience, we'd love to welcome you to the platform.
Supporting MACS
Every competitor entry helps us raise money for MACS (Microphthalmia, Anophthalmia & Coloboma Support).
MACS provides information, practical support and a community for children, adults and families affected by Microphthalmia, Anophthalmia and Coloboma. It is a charity that means a great deal to our family, and every pound raised helps them continue supporting families across the UK.
100% of competitor entry fees will be donated directly to MACS.

Who Can Enter?
This competition is strictly for novice competitors.
The goal is simple. We want to make strongman more accessible.
Too many people spend years saying they'll enter "one day". We want this competition to be that opportunity.
You'll compete alongside athletes at a similar stage of their journey in a professionally run environment where the focus is on having a great day, challenging yourself and enjoying the sport.
If you know you're no longer a novice, we simply ask that you leave these spaces for athletes taking their first steps into competition.
Don't worry though. This won't be the last event we organise. Plans are already underway for future competitions aimed at more experienced athletes.
If you're unsure whether you qualify as a novice, please get in touch before entering.
Venue
The competition will take place in South Tyneside, Tyne & Wear.

Optional Fundraising
Supporting MACS doesn't end with your competition entry.
There is absolutely no expectation or pressure for competitors to raise additional money. Simply entering the competition is already helping, with 100% of competitor entry fees being donated directly to MACS.
That said, if you would like to go a little further, we'd be incredibly grateful.
We're happy to provide every competitor with a digital fundraising pack containing posters, social media graphics and fundraising ideas to help you raise money for MACS in the lead up to the competition.
Whether you raise £10 or £1,000, every contribution helps MACS continue supporting children, adults and families affected by Microphthalmia, Anophthalmia and Coloboma.
If you'd like a fundraising pack, simply get in touch after entering and we'll send one over.
